I accept commissions of all sorts, from one off prototypes to small batch work, ranging from run of the mill to frankly weird and wonderful! While all of my work is commission based, this page is intended to show some of the wide variety of work that I undertake, that doesn't quite fit into the other listed categories.
Turned Wooden Apples
Turned from Yew and Spalted Beech but can be made from any type of wood. I can make apples or pears, usually a realistic size but any size is possible. Turned fruit is a great way to show off the figure and varying colours of both domestic and exotic timbers. I finish them with gloss lacquer which really shows the timber at it's best
Sapele Beer Bottles
Commissioned for an outdoor game of skittles. Sapele has good natural resistance to the elements and is strong, making it ideal for this job.
These torches were made for the makers of the London 2012 Olympic torches. These are for a group of Viking re-enactors who will walk through the streets with burning torches. These will be fitted with a gas canister, making the flame controllable and safe.
